Yaakov Kaplan
Rabbi Yaakov is a native Baltimorean who is passionate about the local Jewish community. He loves great conversations, and you'll likely find him wrapping someone in Tefillin or approaching people on the street to give them one of Chana's delicious Challah's.
Chana Kaplan
Chana is a proud Baltimore resident via Montreal, QC. She is an energizer bunny and an incredible baker! On a typical Wednesday, you'll find Chana meeting with friends in a local coffee shop or planning the next fabulous event.
Sharon
Sharon is from Cherry Hill, NJ and currently in Baltimore for Graduate School. A passion of hers is cooking/baking, it’s a fun way to relax. She loves how warm and open our Jewish community here is in Baltimore, there is a place for everyone here at the Chabad of Baltimore. She hopes as a board member she’s able to also help others connect as she has to the Chabad community and that they too will view Chabad as a second home.
Lexi
Lexi is originally from St. Paul, MN. She moved here in October 2022 to be the Program Director for Towson Hillel. In her free time, Lexi loves reading, watching tv/movies, baking, and spending time with friends and family. She loves how welcoming and fun the Chabad of SoBo community is and cannot wait to help plan future events and get to know even more young Jewish professionals here in Baltimore.
Dani Fishbein
Dani Fishbein, originally from New Jersey moved to Baltimore last year for work as a pediatric psychologist, but stayed another year because of the amazing community that is Chabad SOBO. She loves the sense of warmth and camaraderie in the community, and hopes to continue fostering this within her role on the board. She is excited to help plan fun, social and Jewish minded events with Chabad. Please feel free to reach out for any questions Baltimore or Jewish scene related!
Hailey
Hailey is from Baltimore County. She moved to Downton to work at a local hospital as a nurse! She has a passion for helping people. Something she loves about Baltimore is the pride people have for the city and the warmth of the community. She hopes to help get more people involved with Chabad and help create fun and engaging experiences!
Jonah
Jonah was raised in the suburbs of NYC. He moved to Baltimore in the summer of 2022 to work as a physicist at Northrop Grumman. He loves that the Federal Hill community is tightknit and heimish, and this year, he’s excited to help facilitate even more opportunities to connect and grow together (with great food too)!

Andrew Schwartz
Andrew Schwartz is a local Pikesville native who now lives downtown in the Ridgley’s Delight neighborhood. He moved back to Baltimore to attend the University of Maryland Medical School, where he is a first-year medical student.
His passions include anything Baltimore/Maryland sports-related, outdoor activities like hiking and camping, and listening to live music/ concerts.
